My father in law has been diagnosed with advanced-stage lung cancer in 2017. He has completed his 4 cycles of chemotherapy, after testing for egfr, exon 19 mutation was detected, so he was on erlotinib since 2017, which was working good so far, but due to some new complications, he was again checked for egfr, where the mutations in exams 20 and 21 were also found along with exon 19. Now, the doctor recommended osimertinib. So, after starting this medicine how much survival we can expect in terms of years.
