Hi, My dad has been dealing with a low ejection fraction of just 30%. The medications he uses are cardivas 3.125, cardace 1.25, aztor 10 and dytor 5 I have read that fish oil is very good for heart patients and to keep the cholesterol levels in check. Will this be beneficial? Also, will taking fish oil intervene with any of these above mentioned medications or is it safe to use?

You can use fish oil but it has not shown any proven mortality benefit, but you can use there is no harm. Also I hope his angiography has been done to rule out blockages in his coronaries also I recommend the new drug tab vymada to increase his pumping! ofcourse cardace needs to be stopped first before starting this and discuss with your cardiologist regarding this drug as its an expensive one. Tc.
