My 1 month kid has constipation. She didn't pee since 5 days. We are using flagyl syrup. Doctor said that 7 days of gap is very common. Is it true. And she is breast feeder. I'm eating very light food. Xp.

It is true, you need not worry if your baby does not pass stools for 7 to 10 days at this age. You can consult me for more queries. You didn't mentioned the reason for taking flagyl. You keep your self with good hydration with lots of water, milk etc and calcium supplements till you r breastfeeding baby.

If the baby is exclusively breastfed whether she passes stool 6-7 times a day or even once in 6-7 days both the conditions are normal as long as baby is gaining good weight.

Exclusive breast fed babies can behave both ways passing stools every time they have feed resulting in 6 to 7 times a day or they can pass stool once in 6 to 7 days. So nothing to worry. But don't give flagyl for no indication.
