Absolutely! We urge the patient to put a permanent cap on the root canal treated tooth asap. This will avoid : fracture of the tooth, cement filling coming out, or food getting stuck between teeth. It will ensure proper biting forces are distributed throughout.

Root canal is just a procedure to save your tooth from extraction. But if you want to eat or chew food using that tooth it would be preferable that you cap /crown the tooth. RCT just makes your tooth brittle, thus high chances fractured tooth/ breakage of tooth is likely if you exert minimal force/ pressure/ load on tooth.

Yes it is a must without the crown all the filling would come out and teeth would also break.

Hello, After successful completion of root canal treatment, crown placement is recommended to strengthen the tooth. Placing a crown will add life to the tooth. You should go for it. In certain situation you may not have to place a crown that can be adviced after clinical check up. If possible add some x-ray or pics.
