Before going for laser your power should be stable for one year or your power should be the same in two consecutive visits when checked 6months apart. So that power will not change after laser. You can avoid glasses upto your 40th year .After 40th year because of age and cataract changes you may have to use glasses. After laser you will have normal vision with both eyes opened(binocular)as healing process may be different for both the eyes. After laser there may be dryness changes for which you will be prescribed with lubricant eye drops for a certain depending on the severity of your symptoms.Very rarely some people may have halos and night glare. And in some people infections ,thinning and bulging of cornea very rarely.Your retina should be checked for any breaks and holes and treated appropriately before going laser.
