I was prescribed budesonide spray nasal for my nasal polyps but I already take budesonide inhaler for my lungs have 2 questions: can I take both forms of budesonide with no problems? I am hiv positive I take ritonavir (norvir, darunavir and abacavir+ lamivudine does this medication interact with budesonide? Thanks.

Hello. To answer your 2 different concerns pl (without knowing why you have been prescribed budesonide for lung? Long term or short term use?). Budesonide and arvs- since you are using darunavir/ritonavir combo along with budesonide, it would be advisable to avoid budesonide use as its level may get increased, be it in any form, inhaler or spray, by ritonavir. The preferred alternative is beclamethasone.
