I am having white flakes coming off my scalp. Initially I assumed it was dandruff. I tried selsun shampoo for it. When that didnt work I consulted a specialist for it. She prescribed me Sebowash, citing that its fungal infection. I have been using it alternatively for a month now. I get itches in my head after washing my head with it and the fungus hasnt receded to my expectations. Also, I lost more than half my hairs in process. What do you suggest? a) for the fungal infection, shud I keep using the shampoo for another couple of months. Do i need any tablets with it? (Forcan or something) b) for hair regrowth --> shuld I try minoxidil-5(i have two 60 ml sample bottles with me, courtesy an MR) or once I get relief from the fungal infection, hair will regrow themselves. You can assume that I had this infection for more than 2 years. PS- I will really be grateful for any help/advise.
