My mother has a depression .She is going through with some hallucinations like to see colours by watching video songs n movies .She called her siblings n friends when she feel something is going wrong n shouting start for 1-2 hrs until she feel relaxed .Sometimes she feel someone in home is doing black magic . What to do doctor HELP her .EVERY YEAR she has a same problem For 2--3 months.

It is much more than depression. She is being treated for psychosis. Are you keeping the doctor informed of these developments? I suggest that you meet with a counselor too to help her with skills to understand the disease and what to do when she has certain impulses. She needs to bring in some discipline into her life, set up certain routines, and follow a tight time-schedule. There must be some interesting activities she needs to do every day. She must exercise both Yoga and some aerobic ones too. Gradually help her meet people. Over a period of time these episodes will disappear with this kind of follow up. If she loves certain hobbies, facilitate that. Let her become productive and occupied with something constructive. If she cooperates, maybe she could be weaned off of the medication to a lower dose. Please do not neglect this any further. At her age she could only degenerate without the combination therapy approach.
