Hi, my boyfriend told me he is taking escitalopram for almost 6 years now because he was suffering from weight lost and no appetite to eat and the doctor gave him escitalopram to get him in a good mood and have more appetite and that medication helped him alot, when I looked for the medication it was written on the prescription that it is given to treat anxiety and depression. My question is does this medication affect the relationship and is it dangerous to marry someone who takes it, thank you.

Hi, his loss of appetite & weight could be due to depression. So escitalopram was correctly prescribed .. and any person may suffer from anxiety or depression. If you love him, then you should encourage him to stay positive.. isn't it ? Good luck with your relationship.

Please try to know more about escitalopram. It's not his first wife (just kidding) in general: every marriage brings challenges, often profound ones. How a couple faces them could decide whether their relationship collapses or holds firm. Guarding long-term love may require jettisoning misguided beliefs or dysfunctional habits that partners can carry with them through the years. Divorce-proofing a marriage can also mean identifying and shoring up the strengths that make a couple work?both before and after sharing vows?and reinforcing them with new skills and approaches to sharing life together. Over the course of a relationship that can last as many as seven or eight decades, a lot happens. Personalities change bodies age, and romantic love waxes and wanes. And no marriage is free of conflict. What enables a couple to endure is how they handle that conflict. So how do people manage the problems that inevitably arise? And how can couples keep the spark alive? Good luck! wish you a very happy life a head.
