My baby age is 1.5 month. Today he was given injection penta 1 (hep b+dpt+hib). I have given him 6 drops of paracetamol drops after 1 hour of injection. I have read somewhere that paracetamol can decrease the effectiveness of vaccine. Are these 6 drops which I had given to my baby after 1 hour of vaccination, is going to decrease effectiveness of vaccine?

No, it doesn't. But you should have given injectable polio vaccine (ipv) as well. You can get ipv in any government health center or hospital.

No, Mr. lybrate-user do not give paracetamol routinely after immunisation/vaccination. It is only given when there is pain or fever. And it does not interfere with vaccine effect. Please also check the dose from your pediatrician as 6 drops or more?
