Hi, I have been suffering from nocturnal cramps in the calves for the last 30 years, the average would be once or twice a month. I am 69, otherwise healthy and an exercise buff. Any remedies?

The following tips may help you avoid leg cramps while sleeping: drink plenty of fluids. Fluids allow for normal muscle function. Stretch your legs. Ride a stationary bike. Change your sleeping position. Avoid heavy or tucked-in bedding. Choose supportive footwear.
