Yes, definitely. You seems to be suffering from adjustment disorder depressive type and which can be cured with or without medication. First thing is non pharmacological interventions which can be advised to you like doing pranayam and other yoga in the morning time atleast for 30 minutes daily and in the day time initially make a time table diary that what are you doing the whole day and than check it after one wk and decide if anything can be changed than apply it for next one wk or so. Make fix time to go to bed and wake up early in the morning. Read stuff about sleep hyegene and follow that also whenever u feel low make a diary of ur thoughts which are causing the emotion and behaviour to follow. This diary can also help u to identify your negative cognitions which can be corrected. If not helpful than u should visit a consultant psychiatrist nearby you as compliance is very important and the doctor should be in your reach,

You have taken early retirement, when you might be feeling capable of working some more. There could be a feeling of emptiness and loneliness to as you said that you don't have friends and relatives. These would have a lot of importance in this time as they provide you with much needed social recognition, importance and acceptance. You can try for a part time job, if you feel upto it. Build new friendships. There will be people like you who are lonely and could do with a friendly soul. Based on your interests, look out for activities and enrolling in some social groups will provide you with the much needed social connection and recognition. Humans are social by nature and thrive in social communities. Challenge your negative thoughts with positive thoughts. Find your strengths and use them to your advantage. Your life is not over yet. This is the time to devote to yourself and rekindle interest in hobbies that you gave up long time back in order to meet your family's needs.
