Hi doctors. I m obese from my teenage . I rarely eat foods from outside .Tried walking jogging but not able to see any results so Went to gym for six months I hardly able to reduce around 3 kgs in six months package. And last November'2013 . I got pregnant . During pregnancy I gained around 13 kgs. After delivery also I m constantly gaining weight. Not sure why I m not able to lose weight though I am trying a lot. I m totally depressed because of this. . I m 87kgs and 165 cms heigh t. Can you please let me know what all could be reasons for not losing weight.

You need to go on a diet of 2000 Kcal per day and increase your exercise. Stop all sugar intake (use Sugar free, equals, splenda) to sweeten your tea/coffee, eat only two cahppati / slices of bread with each meal, or one bowl of rice. Fill your tummy with fruits like Papaya, apple and guava, or salads like cucumber, lettuce. You can eat any amount of vegetables cooked in small amounts of oil. Take the white of two boiled eggs evry day and white meat like fist / chicken, also cooked in very small amount of oil. Please maintain a diary for your daily intake and go for a run / walk for 45 min every day.
