My tsh is 5.6 and i'm pregnant. My doctor has prescribed thyronorm 12.5 mg. If I take this medicine, do I have to continue it post pregnancy?

Hello.. In pregnancy treatment is usually started if TSH is above 4 ( as per American thyroid association recommendations ) . The condition is referred as Subclinical hypothyroidism.. The target during treatment is to keep TSH less than 2.5 .. The dose you have been prescribed is too less .. It needs to be increased . Usually after pregnancy the thyroid hormone requirements decreases and treatment is not further required..
