My age is 36 yr. I am suffering from severe pain in lower spine and hip portion. This problem was from past 8 years. Now ankylosing spondylitis has been detected through mri, screening of spine and some blood test as hla b27. My uric acid level also increases from time to time goes upto 12. Rheumatologist doctor has prescribed me -nucoxia 90 and rasel 20 - thalix 100 (optional, if possible). He also suggested me few exercise. Kindly suggest me what to do.

First of all, reduce your protein intaken increase water intake to manage uric acid levels. For a.s you must start back exercises to increase the mobility of your back and reduce pain. Start exercising as per suggested by your physio or doctor. All the best.

Hello sir! ankylosing spondylitis is a condition which can cause excessive kyhosis of the spine due to calcification of anterior longitudinal ligament. Also, it affects hip joint. Consult the best physiotherapist in your area and start working on keeping your body as flexible as possible. There ia no medical management of ank spon. Surgical can be done when there are severe deformities of spine but it isn't recommended. Also, there can be done if the hip joints are calcified! stay strong!
