Sir/madam, I am 54 years old, having diabetes since 9-10 years which was started after I stopped my physical exercise due to severe back pain caused due to bulge in l2, l3, l5 and s1, s2.now I have pain in my left side of the abdomen just beside ribs I would like to know the reason and treatment please.

The disc prolapse can and will cause referred pain in its nerve supply areas. You need to correct the disc issue.

Proper finding is needed before take any conclusion, lets go with lungs x ray and usg whole abdomen to rule out any abnormality in andomen area, if the reports are normal then we surely says that is the reffered pain due to nerve compression. Regards.
