I am 55 year old. I was at first experiencing pain in thighs so contacted doctor. Unfortunately, he misunderstood and considered the lower level of vitamin d, the cause. But after having a test, it was found hypervitaminosis d. It is now 110 (normal 30 - 40). My leg is now unconscious. I think it is due to the hypervitaminosis, now suggest me how to normalize the vitamin d level.

Management of hypervitaminosis d is achieved by immediately stopping the intake of the vitamin, and treating symptoms accordingly: stoppage of vitamin d, till body attains the required normal level. Until then, a low-calcium diet is prescribed hospitalization may be required if the individual is neurologically impaired, suffers severe dehydration, or shows high levels of calcium on a blood test. Inability to move your leg may be due to a lumbar condition. Better to get an mri done.
