I am having pain in my backside of the teeth as it is badly decayed. I can't chew any food with my left side of the mouth as it hurts badly. I am afraid to take off my teeth as only a thin layer of the tooth has remain. So please any suggestions about this?

Consult a dentist and take proper treatment. Otherwise other teeth may also start decaying.

If the doctor has suggested removal of the offending tooth, dont worry on account of the tooth being badly damaged. The area will be number out like any other regular extraction. Only thing is that the tooth removal may take slightly more time, or the dentist may have to slightly remove a little bit of bone that is holding back the tooth root (depends on the tooth position. But you wont feel any pain, whatever be the method of removal. The tooth requires immediate attention, so please dont delay treatment out of fear. The infection will deteriorate with time.
