From few months my mother in law is complaining about severe back pain. She is not able to carry any weight items in hand. Her thyroid report is normal. Few years. Before she had uterus removed. She has gained weight also. What may be the reason? Should we check cbc or ecg required. She is suffering from migraine also.

Severe back pain could is common at this age. This is due to weakening of bones along with spondylosis. Just start taking calcium tablets and weekly vitamin d sachet and do a x ray of spine -ap and lateral view. Her weight gain could also be due to diabetes. So do a fasting blood sugar and post prandial blood sugar. Consult a physician for migraine n weight gain and an orthopaedics for backache.
