Had unprotected receptive anal intercourse on 10th feb. Partner's hiv status is unknown. I started using pep from 46 hours of exposure. Taking it as prescribed. Now after 16 days I have sore throat, swollen tonsil, fever, pain like feelings in other lymph nodes like armpit. Is this a sign of hiv? How much effective is pep to prevent hiv infection?
