I am a 23 year old female I consulted a doctor for acne and he gave me tretiva 5 and foremost (iron tablet) but my pimples have increased, it has been one week since i?m taking the medicine. Is it normal for the pimples to increase and then decrease gradually or is the medicine not suiting me?

Yes, its because of tretiva (isotretinoin). Isotretinoin frequently causes flare up of pimples initially. But eventually it's one of the best drug to control pimples. So continue your treatment.
