Hello, I am suffering from irregular periods from the past 2 years. I am married since 1 and half years now. I have recently been prescribed ashokaristam, sukumaran and fertivin tablets. Since I do not have plans of conceiving, I would like to know if I can I take oral contraceptives along with these medicines.

your irregular periods are already because of hormonal imbalance... oral contraceptives are used by allopaths to regulate periods because they have hormone only.

Ocp's can be used. Irregular periods if because of hormonal imbalance will also be managed. Make a diagnosis for irregular periods, for which usg pelvis is the first step. Pathology of uterus if any as well as hormonal imbalance can be managed successfully with ayurveda, as its shown that you r interested to take ayurvedic medicine.
