I am 21, female. My first cousin was just diagnosed with polycystic Kidney disease. My parents passed away at age 40 of other causes, didn't seem to have any kidney issues. Could I still potentially have polycystic kidney disease if my blood and urine tests are normal? Sometimes I think I feel pain only on my right lower back, is this also strong evidence for something? Could I possibly have another kidney problem that is not PKD? How accurate will an Ultrasound be to tell my kidney health? Is a kidney transplant the only ultimate solution? Should I be worried at this point?
