I have a problem in my teeth. Just to tell you I have taken root canal treatment 2 months from now for the same teeth that I'm suffering right now like some sort of shock when I drink cool/chilled water or any other items. Please suggest me what should I do.

Hi there are two possibilities.Either any tooth adjacent to one in which rct was done is bothering you or there may be one of roots in that tooth which has not been treated.Coz after a proper rct tooth can never be sensitive. See your dentist and get an X ray done or seek necessary intervention . Regards Dr. Vishal Lodha

The treatment may not be satisfactory. Kindly get the tooth looked at again. Also rule out neighbouring teeth.

Have you done crown for that teeth, because pain after RCT is rare and unfavourable. Reasons may be secondary infection, fracture of tooth, periodontal lesions ( gum problems) some time may be due to adjacent tooth infection. Consult the dentist who treated you and fill him with details of pain and get treated. Take care

Hey, rct treated teeth won't be having any nerve in the canal . Teeth won't be having sensation for cold and hot for the same .It might be due to sensitivity of adjacent tooth. Consult your dentist. And for time being you can use sensodyne tooth paste . Thank you
