my hb was 12.8 and mcv was about 22 THE REPORT MENTIONED SUSPECTED BETA THALASSEMIA AND SOME FERROUS TESTS WHAT COULD THIS MEAN AND RELEVANCE.

As your MCV is low which means that average volume of RBC is less in your blood and Heamoglobin is normal which means that oxygen is properly transported from the RBC to body tissues and As RBC is less hence we should rule out whether you are suffering from genetic disease of thalassemia but before that also get a cbc report done from a different lab and we can compare the two
