the base of my left hand thumb finger is aching for last 3/4 months, but not severely. There is slight swelling in the area which can only be detected if seen along with the identical place of the right hand thumb. There was no injury of any kind. Please advise me cure for this problem. So far, I have neither consulted a doctor nor have I taken any OTC medication. regards, J N Dutta
