Iamd 45 yrs/M, live in Bangalore, India, and I have severe sore throat for the past 3 months, My clinical parameters like CBC, Chest Xray, and other biochemical parameters are very normal, But the sore throat is coming and going for the past 3 months. There was severe nasal block a month back and now is ok. I am using Odanase spray, and taking medicines OD- Deriphyllin R300, Odimont, and cheston cold daily for the past 1 month. Still the sore throat and due to that dry cough is coming frequently and could not sleep. What could be the best treatment, as I have visited 3 Drs (DLOs) all gave same medicine or variants, but the problem is not solved. Any advice pls? Is it a serious illness.

I think main problem is in your nose. Infected secretion from nose goes to throat n it cause sore throat. You need to treat your nose only, throat will get relieved simultaneously. Take this medication. Tab cefixime 200 mg twice a day tab levocetrizine 5 mg once after dinner. Oxymetazoline nasal drop 2drop thrice a day in both nostril. Steam inhalation thrice a day. � 5 day. Stop previous medication. Review sos. Thanks.
