I have an 11 month old baby. After she was born I bleed for 3 weeks. I got the contraceptive needle when she was 2 months old. I bleed for the whole 3 months. I got my period in July for a week then I did?t get it again til September and I haven?t had it since then. Is it cause I?m breast feeding or could I be pregnant?

Missed or late periods happen for many reasons other than pregnancy. Common causes can range from hormonal imbalances.

You may be having lactational amenorrhea. Inj depoprovera can also cause amenorrhea. But you should get your pregnancy test done first.

You need to do UPT. It should be done 10 days after missing your period. For example if your date was 10th, then do the test on 20th. Before that it can give false negative or false positive test.
