Hello, Thanks for the query. Both fasting and PP glucose levels are showing you are in Pre-diabetic state. Fortunately this is state where one can adapt a modified lifestyle and either prevent or postpone development of diabetes. If necessary care is not taken, then you are definitely running the risk of developing diabetes in the near future. The difference (19 mg) has no relevance. Following precautions need to be taken: 1) Your ideal body weight should be about 61 kgs as against 74 kgs, which means there is an excess of 13 kgs. This needs to be reduced. 2) Your food intake (calories) should be based on 61 kgs, not on present weight. 3) There is a need for regular exercise of over 1 hour every day. 4) Avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, bakery items, foods made from maida. 5)Always use whole grian flour for roti and chapati, 6) Increase the intake of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. 7) Refrain from alcohol smoking and aerated cold drinks like colas. Thanks.
