Well its a diffcult question to explain.. to be short -- its acts immediately.. but you need not worry abt it. beacuse the deminerliaztion caused by break down of sugars.. is compensated by re mineraliztion process.. the reason you suffer from dental decay is when your demineralization process dominates the re mineralization process.. to avoid this you must avoid eating a lot of sugar containing and sticky food stuffs. brush twicwe with a correct method and change your tooth brush every 2-3 months
