Can some physician with exercise expertise help me out. I am a vigorous 45 year old athlete, and I do 2 hours of gym, I do about 5 KMs of Cardio (jogging on treadmill, cycling and steppers), I walk for 3 KM, sometimes I cycle for 7-8 km. The question is about weights training. I do half my body weight in bench press (chest, shoulders and lats) of about 40 KGs, When it comes to deadlifts I touch about 110 kgs. My heart beat comes back to normal in less than a few minutes, I do not feel pain, dizziness nothing. Only thing is that I am hypertensive controlled with cilacar 10. My training helps control my hereditary Type II beautifully well. I have seen too many conflicting articles on the net about weights training, it is bad, it is good and so much redundant information. My question is about deadlifts of 110 kgs, should I continue with it, or is it bad, should I be worried about aortic dissection, LVH, etc.
