Obstetrics And Gynaecology, Query: My first 6 month old baby boy was died .he was downsyndrome baby with CHD defects vsd moderate hole in heart. We could not save our child after so many tries. Now my wife is pregnant (10 week) what should I do and prenatal screening test procedure genetics tests and other test. Please advise me for further process need consult. Is it must necessary to do NT scan ,NIPT and first trimester test at 12 week otherwise go to direct amniocentesis for ds and others? Please suggest me mam.(previous baby was trisomy 21 with CHD) My age 32 Wife age 28.

Since your previous baby had down, s syndrome, nt scan and first trimester screening is a must and amniocentesis too must be done for a definitive diagnosis.
