Lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. TSH 5.58 mU/L is marginally high, but does not say that you have hypothyroidism. Usually TSH between 6 to 9.9 mU/l is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism. No treatment is advocated at that condition. However, if a person has troublesome symptoms present then treatment is given. Your level is still lower. There is no reason to worry. But better to check TSH once a year. Plus avoid soy beans and soy containing products. You may also get an Anti TPO antibody test done. Thanks.
