I am 67 years Old Male and having Hiatal Hernia since past 3 years. I get pain in my stomach and severe acidity attacks when I overeat. Past 6 months there has been vomiting with acidity attacks. I recently did my blood test and found my Hemoglobin to be 9.3, Mean corpuscular volume 79.2 (Normal 83 - 101 ), Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin 21 (Normal 27 - 32) and Iron as 20.5 (against Normal 65-175) and % age Transferrin saturation as 5.38 (Normal 13 - 45). I have done this week stool tes t for ocular blood once and found negative. For past 6 months or so I am not feeling good and not energetic. I am not on any drugs for Hiatal Hernia on day to day basis.

The gold standard treatment of hostal hernia is surgical correction. But before that we need to diagnose it correctly with the help of Upper G I Endoscopy and mannometry. I hope you have been through all these diagnostic tests. If you are not willing for surgery at the moment, then you can try on a medication and little sleeping postural changes.
