My right hand got fractured particularly mc4 and mc5 bone. 2 k wires are installed in my hand and it's been couple of weeks with it. So I wanna know if the removal of k wires after 3 more weeks are painful or not + will there be any chances of infection in my hand? And if that is painful then will I need to take anaesthesia in the removal process. Please advise I would highly appreciate a response. Regards, Piyush Singh.

Yes there will be a need of anaesthesia. And as far as chances of infection are concerned it occurs in two conditions like if you don't maintain hygiene or you have low immunity
