Gone through a dental implant surgery today, I felt an unbearable pain during the surgery, I have read that people normally don't feel any pain during the surgery, why did this happen? Is this a dental implant failure?

Hello Mam, normally surgical procedures are done under local anaesthesia due to which the patients don not feel pain. The patient may feel pressure and vibrations during the procedure, having pain during procedure does not indicate that the implant is failure, it is might that the local anaesthesia was not working properly.

Pain during surgery may signify failure of anaesthesia but not failure of implant as this u come to know only if there is rejection of implant . If a good implant n procedure is followed rejections r not common

No its not an implant failure, your anesthesia mustn't have acted deep enough.

No .. it's not failure it's just that while drilling the bone sometimes there is pain .. and there is a torque applied to stabilize implants ... And you may feel pressure while tightening the implant .. so dont worry .. all will be well ..
