I went for dental cleaning Late feb this year, a week later tinnitus started and it remains till date. Earlier it was only one tone and I dint had any trouble with it. Within 3 months there were multiple tones and noticed change in my voice and later experienced hearing troubles. ENT suggested a hearing test and it was diagnosed high frequency hearing loss, more in left ear. Although the report says 22 in right and 24 db in left year but I experience the loss. Q1. Is there any hope that tinnitus will go away. I have been waiting since 8 months now and it has only increased. Q2. Will I recover my hearing Q3. Since hearing was normal before and I feel its getting worse. Why is it happening. What can I do to stop its progression? Q4. What precautions and medications should I do for improvement.

Minimize your exposure to loud noises that are persistent. Never listen to music through headphones or ear buds with the volume all the way up. Wear ear plugs or protective earmuffs during any activity that exposes you to noise at or above 85 decibels.
