She undergone tympanoplasty 8 months ago but still there is a small perforation in the eardrum. And the hearing loss worsen tremendously and patient become depressed. Can she use hearing aid as there is still a small whole in the ear drum? Is that increase the chance of infection?

Yes she can use hearing aids. But you have to take care of few things 1. Try to go for BTE hearing aids with proper vent in ear molds. Avoid using CICs. 2. Don't use hearing aid whenever there is some ear discharge.
