I am 4 weeks pregnant now and TSH is 8.47 tested today. Does it cause any harm to my pregnancy I am very much worried, I am taking 12.5 thyronorm. How much should I increase the dose now and also please suggest ways to control my thyroid in pregnancy.

No you don't increase your medicine dose on your own. Let your gynaecologist decide the dosage. As it is totally treatable, you consult your doctor at the earliest.

As per your report your thyronorm dosage is not adequate, need to adjusted as pregnancy also causes increase in demand .hypothyroidism may increase the risk of abortionbut not in every patient .it also affects the fetus dose to be adjusted according to the bodyweight. Kindly consult an endocrinologist timely Intervention may prevent bad effects of hypothyroidism.
