Why are my gums receding from my teeth? Can receding gums grow back? What should I do?

Consult a periodontist u may require gingival curettage or gum surgery
Hi. You are too young to have receding gums. Do good care of your oral hygiene. Visit a dentist for Scaling / Cleaning.
Dear Lybrate user, Gum recession could be because of deposits on the tooth near the gum line. Visit your dentist for Oral prophylaxis/ Scaling procedure. It will improve your oral hygiene and gum recession. If the recession still persists your dentist might suggest you other treatment options. For more info you can contact us through private consultation on Lybrate.
Gums only grow to some extent if the tartar /deposit has been removed already ...but if they don't grow back you may need surgical flap procedure to cover the teeth by gums back
Hi. Receding gums never grow back. U need to undergo scaling and polishing to stop further damage Regards.
