I AM 56 YEARS OLD MAN AND MY WEIGHT IS AROUND 90 KG AND MY HEIGHT IS 5 FT10 INCH. FROM LAST 10 DAYS I HAVE PAIN IN MY LEFT LEG JOINT i.e IN THE KNEE JOINT AND IN THE AREA OF LOWER LEFT LEG. SOME ARE SAYING IT IS A CASE OF OSTEOARTHRITIS. PLEASE SUGGEST SOME MEASURES. ASAP.ALL THE SUGAR AND URINE AND BLOOD TEST HAVE COME POSITIVE.

It is possible that it is osteoarthritis considering your age and body mass index. However, the onset of pain in osteoarthritis is gradual and it progressively gets worse. You will also notice some stiffness in the morning or when resting for a long period of time which subsequently improves once you start walking. The pain in osteoarthritis is usually worse with walking for a long time and climbing stairs. That being said, it is better to confirm your diagnosis by seeing an orthopedician who can get a full history and perform an examination and other tests necessary. Appropriate treatment can be initiated afterwards.
