I am 32 yer old I am very interested in running in the month of January 18i feel some pain below my left knee I ignore it up to sep 18 when I will go for mri the impression is partial tear in all and grade 2 tear or misal meniscus can it will heal automatically and how many month it will take to heal.

Hi lybrate-user, as I can see you are a frequent runner and had injury 8 months back. From the report you are telling, I can make out that you have a meniscal tear in your left knee. These menisci are like cushions for our knee and they provide uniform distribution of the weight. There are 2 menisci in each knee and which one is injured is not specified. Also they have various zones or parts, some of which can heal spontaneously with proper rehabilitation and some cannot. Also it depends on the type of tear.
