Hi, I have taken fertility treatment in ayurvedic and still my wife period is irregular. We have taken treatment around 4 months and still she has irregular period and unable to know what to do. She has thyroid problem. Right from. Her birth and taking the treatment from endocrinologist and using thyronorm 100 mcg. Can you suggest what to do. And am totally confused. Regards, veeramani v.

Though Hypothyroidism is one of the cause for Infertility & irregular periods. But we need to evaluate any other disorder such as PCOS, or tubal blockage which may cause Infertility. For that you should get initially a USG and HSG to ruleout above mentioned disorders. First attempt should be to try to make a diagnosis then to initiate any kind of treatment. Also we should look that whether with the medicines for thyroid, the patients hormone levels have normalised or not? Only then we should proceed further.
