Seven years back I had endoscopy done reflux esophagitis grade 2 with lax hiatus after dat endoscopy showed normal except lax hiatus was cured I was eating everything and I was completely off meds but my food habits and life style was not good, heavy junk food and stress, now recently problem started, endoscopy showed h pylori, gerd, esophagitis grade a, lax les. Can this disease be prevented and lead normal life again?

Yes definately this disease can be prevented and you can lead a normal life again. First of all you have yourself recognised your weak points. This is good. U should do the following for life long-- 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. 3. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 4. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 5. Maintain active life style 6. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods 7.Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. It contains a lot of fiber which will help reduce tendency for constipation 8. Drink lot of water. 9. Take half cup of cold milk when you feel acidity, it will help. Curd is good for u. Exercise in the form of yoga, cycling, Swimming, gymming, walking etc. U will be able to take junk food but not now. First you completely get alright, Then I will tell you how much n when to eat.
