I am 46 years old and having controlled diabetes since 15 years. I am having frozen shoulder on the right since 2 months. One month of physiotherapy helped 80%. But 10-20% pain still persists. Is the injections only way?

Hello. Frozen shoulder is a very debilitating condition which is seen more commonly in diabetics. It is a self remitting condition. Usually it takes about 8 months for it to disappear with proper physiotherapy. Most of the people suffering from the condition won't be able to do the exercises due to pain. The intra-articular injections helps numb the pain and reduce the inflammation which inturn will help you with exercises. If there is no improvement in the condition after 3 months of physiotherapy then Manipulation under anaesthesia can be done or arthroscopic release on adhesion can be done.
