My mother is having diabetes. Now she has been diagnosed that sugar is present in urine. How much it is dangerous.

If sugar is coming on urine it is indicating that either medicine is not working or she is not controlling sugar intake, uncontrollable sugar is always risky.
Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. In a diabetic person because of high blood glucose (>180 mg/100 ml), some amount of it is always excreted in urine causing glycosuria. This a common condition when blood glucose is not well controlled. Most important is to achieve a strict control of blood glucose. That also helps in preventing long term complications of diabetes. Thanks.
