My grandfather is 78 years old. He is suffering from DVT. His right is swelled from april, 2018 till now. We have consulted 2 doctors for the same in pune. The impression of last colour doppler of venous system of right lower limb is as follows:- Partially occulding acute to subacute thrombus is seen in the common femoral vein minimally extending into SFv. Acute thrombosis is seen in the great saphenous vein upto the knee joint. The proximal SFv shows minimal wall thickening suggestive of sequelae of chronic deep venous thrombosis. Please suggest if patient needs any treatment on the same as the doctor, we consulted last time has not given any medicine for the same and had advised to wear stockings.
