Two weeks before I have been diagnosed with varicose veins. Doctor gave me a pain killer tablet, an antibiotic and told to use it for three days. I don't have much swollen veins. But I feel itchy in the lower leg from knees to feet. And I have some pain too. And I especially feel numbness low blood circulation in the legs. Other than that I have no major symptoms. Now what I want to know is how many stages are there in varicose disease. At what stage I am now. And if detected in the early stage is it possible to stop the further progress of the disease? I am a diabetic too. But it is in control. What are the treatments available for this disease. I knew about compression stockings. Wearing these will give benefits or completely cure the disease? Will this disease reduce life span of the person? What food to eat and what not to eat?
