lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query. I am unable to understand how restricting carbohydrate intake is going to help in regulating TSH level. TSH is a pituitary hormone, that regulates Thyroxine secretion. It is entirely dependent on presence or absence Thyroxine a hormone secreted by thyroid gland. Since you have not mentioned actual values, it is difficult to comment. It is necessary to maintain TSH < 2 mU/L for getting conception. Plus during gestation it has to be maintained around 2 mU/L. That can be done only by giving supplement of Levothyroxine in adequate dosage. Only food to be avoided is soy beans and soy containing foods. Plus consume a good deal of fruits and vegetables. Plus avoid bakery items, breads, pastries and foods made from maida. Always use whole grain flour for roti and chapati. Thanks.
