I have hypothyroidism since 2 years. I had cesarian n have 6 month old baby. I have gain lot of weight after pregnancy. What should I do to loss weight. I am a house wife.

Lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query. One of the reasons for weight gain is uncontrolled hypothyroidism. Since there is no mention of thyroid hormome details and TSH values, it is difficult to know. Ideally TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, to be free from all the symptoms of that condition. Even the efforts to reduce weight can succeed only if TSH is well under control. In addition you will have give a closer look at your diet and amount of exercise being done daily. If you are not doing any exercises, then please start. But first see that TSH is under check. Thanks.
